K.B. Clarke Provides Extensive Emergency Services After 18 Unit ApartmentT Building Devastated
On Dec 26, 2001 K.B. Clarke Restoration was called to the scene of an extensive apartment fire in Herring Cove, NS. The fire started on the lower floor and quickly spread to all common areas, apartments, exterior walls and roof system. K.B. Clarke’s first priority was to restore electrical services thus enabling the boilers to be restarted, providing heat so the interior piping did not freeze. At the same time the roof was secured, building walls waterproofed, floors secured and several apartments of contents were moved out. After emergency services were performed K.B. Clarke staff removed over 100,000 square feet of drywall, 1000’s of yards of carpet and readied the building for the owner’s construction crew to rebuild. K.B. Clarke was pleased to have been awarded the emergency, contents and demolition on this project and pleased to have completed this service over the holidays and in under three weeks.
