K.B. Clarke staff certified IICRC 4 day Mould and Sewage Course
In December of 2003 K.B. Clarke sent representatives from both locations to attend and the latest IICRC course “Applied Microbial Remediation”. The course was very new and contained many technical advances. The instructors Rachel Adams B.Sc. a Hygienist and Mike Strong of MSA Restoration both came from Indiana and were extremely knowledgeable about the subjects. The course was very long at 4 complete days, but the amount of content to learn was unbelievable.
In total 38 people took the course and consisted of primarily environmental consultants, insurance adjusters and restoration contractors.
Some of the topics covered were:
1. Forms and Documents
2. Microbiology
3. Biocide Usage
4. Sampling and Testing Methods
5. Mould Remediation
6. Sewage Remediation
7. PPE
8. Case Studies
9. Erection and Dismantling of Containment Barriers
Both participants from K.B. Clarke passed the exam with marks of 90 plus.
