Sackville K.B. Clarke Restores Wendy's in Sackville. There was no "beef" at Wendy's in Sackville the night a fire blazed through the famous chain of restaurants. The ensuing fire, smoke and water caused thousands of dollars of damages to the building and contents and K.B. Clarke's Brian Janes was on the scene to begin restoration. Equipment, tables and chairs were relocated to the Dartmouth warehouse for cleaning and restoration while the crews worked on demolishing the interior walls and charred structure. To remove the thick, oily soot, a sodium bicarbonate compound was blasted onto the walls and ceiling. The environmentally friendly mixture is soluble, safe to use on ceramic, glass, rubber, metal and will not cause crack closure or thermal sparking. It also poses no threats to workers while other tasks are ongoing. The Wendy's restoration was a success with the store now opened for business in Sackville. Photos from the scene.
